Biography of
Pastor Kurt Thomas

Kurt Patrick Thomas was born to Clive and Myrtle Thomas, the younger of two children.  His sister Hazel Thomas-Cuffie, currently reside in the United States of America.  Kurt Thomas is a third generation Adventist.  In his formative years, he was considered to be a blessing and gift from God due to birth complications.  His parents, under tremendous sacrifice, believed in Christian Education and decided that despite the cost, their children would receive a holistic and spirit-filled education.  By no mean was this easy for the family.  There were the teary nights, constant prayers and the hopes of a financial break-through to ensure that these children received a Christian Education.

At age eight (8), while attending the Pinehaven SDA Primary School, which was then situated in Green Street, Arima, Thomas was asked to preach for the school’s Education Day Service at the Arima Church.  He witnessed God’s transforming power in the lives of those listening, and it was at this stage that God called him to service.

In 2007, Pastor Kurt Thomas graduated from the University for the Southern Caribbean with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and is presently pursuing his Masters in Church Leadership and Administration with Gritts University.  He is currently the pastor, of the Valencia district.  From Intern to district Pastor, Pastor Thomas can rejoice that under the direct leadership of God 522 souls were baptized.  During his previous assignment in the Cumana District, with God’s guidance and aesthetical eye, he was able to enhance the churches’ image.

Pastor Thomas is happily married to Renee Chrysostom-Thomas and this union has produced two children, Zane and Zanee. It is their hope to build up God’s Kingdom where ever they go.  Pastor Thomas would like to pay special Tribute to the following persons: his beautiful and committed wife, Renee Chrysostom-Thomas; his son Zane Thomas; his father, Clive Thomas; his mother Myrtle Thomas (posthumously); his supportive sister, Hazel Thomas-Cuffie; his sister in-law, Raevae Chrysostom; and to all members of family who are present today.
